In the meantime, we have a fallback solution for you. On the next menu, the Security Key will be listed, and you can remove it. To remove an obsolete Security Key associated with your account, select the extension icon and select Open the web app. However, we do support Security Keys as an alternative login method to typing your Master Password, as you log in to Dashlane on your browser (similar to using Face ID on an iOS device). So I told Dashlane to not use a yubikey, and to instead use codes generated by an authenticator. There are some instruction on Dashlanes website that get you partway there:īut the tricky part is that Chrome on macbook doesn't natively support yubikeys for dashlane. This was two days of very frustrating confusion. Then, for my "second factor" of the two factors required, I enter my master password and finally I'm in Dashlane on my mackbook.
Yubico Authenticator App communicates via NFC with the yubikey 5 NFC hardware key and generates the 6 digits that Dashlane is requesting on my Chrome browser on my macbook. I hold my yubikey 5 NFC to the back of the iPhone. I pick up my iPhone 14 Pro, launch the Yubico Authenticator App. When I click the "D" to activate the Extension, I get a prompt for a 6 digit code. I am on a 2015 Macbook Pro, Chrome Dashlane Extension. So I finally got my brand new yubikey 5 NFC working as a two factor authenticator.
